What makes Infinity Sun is the "Mercedes Benz" of sunless tanning?
· Infinity Sun is the only sunless company that uses purified water in our solutions. DHA can be very unstable, so using the purified water helps reduce the chance of a solution turning green, and fades much nicer.
· Eurythrolose is another form of sunless tanner that has a longer last effect, and when infused with plant botanicals it's very hydrating. Whereas most sunless tanners are drying.
· Infinity Sun does not work on DHA percentage, unlike most sunless companies. The higher the saturation of DHA the more drying and orange it becomes. Infinity Sun also makes an Ultra Dark formulation.
· First company to introduce high end skin care products in the form of liquids that prepares the skin to receive a sunless tan, and adds additional levels of hydration.
· The only company that uses computer technology to atomize the solution to make smaller particles for a more even application.
· We have some of the best names in the entertainment industry Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Jessica Alba to name a few.
What is a Multi-Treatment Session?
A VersaSpa Multi-Treatment Session is a process of combining 2 or 3 formulations in the same session. Keep in mind that treatment sprays (Pre-Sunless pH Balancing Treatment, or Post-Sunless Super Hydrating Treatment) are all 2 passes (front and back) while Bronzing Treatment is applied in 4 passes for complete, perfect coverage. Additionally, your blow dry passes match your spray passes; therefore, a Bronzing and Super Hydrating Multi-Treatment Session will be demonstrated as:
Bronzing – Front, Side, Side, Back Blow Dry – Back (2x), Front(2x)
Hydrating – Front, Back Blow Dry – Back, Front
Can I swim, shower, and workout with my sunless tan?
Of course! But be sure to wait at least 4 hours to allow the formula to react with your skin’s amino acids and proteins. In fact, the longer you allow the solution to remain on your skin, the longer lasting your tan will be. Finally, swimming in highly chlorinated water will significantly reduce your results.
Will the Bronzing Formula stain my hair or clothing?
The VersaSpa Sunless Bronzing formula is completely water soluble. Users may notice some initial cosmetic color on the inside of their clothing, but this color will wash out in cold water.
What’s in the Sunless Bronzing Formula that makes me tan?
DHA, dihydroxyacentone, combined with anti-aging, skin firming ingredients is the main compound that produces a customized bronze glow. DHA has been an approved cosmetic additive by the FDA for over 30 years. VersaSpa chemists have refined the technology to produce the most outstanding formulation that results in silky smooth, glowing skin with a refreshing after scent.
And is it safe?
The FDA has approved DHA as a topical application and recommends that users should avoid inhaling or ingesting DHA. As a result, VersaSpa emits the least amount of solution necessary to achieve a full body tan, thus decreasing the amount of inhalable mist for a more pleasant experience. Furthermore, VersaSpa users are encouraged to use protective measures to eliminate ingestion such as: using protective eyewear, nose filters, and sealing lips with lip balm; and the use of disposable undergarments.
24 Hours Prior to your Spray Tan (Pre Tan Care):
Shave or use depilatory cream to remove unwanted body hair.
Exfoliate entire body with mild, oil free, non-abrasive exfoliant.
8 Hours Prior to your Spray Tan (Pre Tan Care):
Shower, but do not apply body oils or moisturizer to skin, as this can create a barrier on your skin.
Wear clothing that are dark in color, preferably black and loose fitting (cotton clothing) to avoid excess contact or staining to your clothing after your spray tan.
Do not wear tight fitting jeans, pants, or shorts, or light synthetic fabrics .
It is advisable to wear dark flip flops to and from your spray tan appointment.
5 Minutes Prior to your Spray Tan (Pre Tan Care):
Wipe skin with pre spray tan wipes to remove any excess body oils or products from the skin.
Remove make up and deodorant with baby wipes.
Pull hair up and away from face and neck with a hair tie and cover with a hair cap.
Rub a small amount of hair conditioner along your exposed hairline to prevent discoloration.
Remove contact lenses, clothing, shoes, and jewelry.
Apply barrier cream to ears, elbows, knees, ankles, hands and tops of feet.
6-8 Hours after your Spray Tan (Post Tan Care):
Avoid any activity that would cause sweating; exercise, cleaning, or showering, as your spray tan is developing during these hours. Contact with water or sweat could result in lines or uneven tanning.
If you choose to sleep in your spray tan so that it darkens overnight, please cover your bed with dark sheets and pillow cases so that any bronzer does not stain your regular sheets.
8 Hour after your Spray Tan (Post Tan Care):
Shower normally. You will see some color wash away from your skin. This is completely normal, and was only the color guard (instant tan that you could see after your spray tan). The color guard is used to give immediate tan results, but also so that the technician may see where they are applying solution. Do not be concerned by this, as your developed tan is still there.
Wash with a mild, moisturizing shower gel and a gentle bath poof.
While you are drying, remember to pat, not rub your skin.
Apply a tan extending lotion at night (please ask your tanning technician for more information).
The Life of your Spray Tan: (Post Tan Care):
The life of your spray tan depends on the care you take of your skin. Moisturize twice a day. The following products have been shown to reduce the number of days that a spray tan will remain on the skin, so try to find alternatives or simply avoid these products until just before your next spray tanning session.
-Band Aids, Face Masks, or Biore Pore Strips -Anti Aging or Anti Acne products
-Bar Soaps -Hair Removal Creams and Shaving
If at all possible, you should try to avoid contact with chlorine or excessive sweating inside of closed toed shoes, as both can lead to premature fading of a spray tan. If you notice uneven or premature fading of your spray tan, you can always correct this by touching up your spray tan with a ‘Tan in a Can’ spray tanning product.
Please ask your tanning technician for more information.
Use our daily extending lotion for a longer lasting and even minimize fading.
The following list discusses issues that can affect the life of your tan.
▪ Bar soaps, especially deodorant, or antibacterial varieties
▪ A women’s tan may develop differently during various hormonal changes [ovulation, menstruation, pregnancy] It may be streaky, patchy, fade worse, or produce lighter or no color.
▪ Curel Lotion can affect a sunless tan.
▪ Dove soap, and Dove Shower gel will fade a tan faster.
▪ Shaving exfoliates skin and can fade a tan. Hair conditioner works nicely and usually won’t “damage tan”. Wash off the conditioner when finished.
▪ Hot tubs or swimming pools contain chlorine that can act to bleach the skin. [Thick waterproof sunscreen lotions like Bullfrog can help protect the skin.]
▪ Long hot baths can soften the skin and affect the “tan” on some people.
▪ Sweating feet inside shoes or behind knees and arm bends can fade a tan faster, or make the color look greenish or yellowish. Powder areas with our desert dust.
▪ Bathing or showering with a loofah, scrub brush, or any other rough body cleansing item will damage your tan. Use a soft wash cloth or puffy sponge and clean skin gently with one of our Tanning Body Cleansers.
